Kachori recipe – stuffed puris

1,5 kg of white flour,

3 big tablespoon of refine oil,

200g of urad dal, washed, cooked and pasted,

1 teaspoon of baking powder,

salt to taste,


1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder,

1 teaspoon pf ginger paste,

pinch of asafoetida.


First make a dough of flour, with 3 big tablespoon of refine oil, baking powder, salt and water. Keep the dough aside. Make the paste of Urad dal, add turmeric, ginger paste, salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar and pinch of asafoetida. Lit the stove, put frying pan, pour 2 tablespoon of oil and when oil is hot put the paste of urad dal with spices and fry it until it is dry. Then remove it from the stove. Now make balls from the dough and turn them into shape of a cup, fill the cup with the stuff of urad dal and closed the edge. With your hand, again turn them in a shape of a ball. Then roll them like small puris, dip fry them in oil or ghee. It is ready to……….
