Puri with green peas

Ingredients for dough:

450 g of flour,

pinch of baking powder,

2 tablespoon of ghee or refined oil,

little salt.

Make a dough with flour, baking powder, ghee or refined oil, salt to taste and water. Keep the dough aside.


Ingredients for fill:

500 g of green peas,

refined oil,

pinch of sugar,

salt to taste,

1 teaspoon of turmeric,

1 teaspoon of ginger paste.

Take 500 g of green peas. Cook the peas and make into paste (use blender to paste). Put a frying pan, and add two tablespoon of refined oil and turn it to hot. Add green peas paste with little sugar, salt to taste, turmeric powder and little ginger paste. Fry it until all water is gone. When it is really dry remove it.

Then make balls out of dough and turn balls into a little cup. Put some green peas paste into it and close the edges. Then turn into the ball againwith your hand, be careful. Do not break it. Then roll them, careful, like small puris and dip fry them in oil or ghee. When you get a golden color puri is ready to serve. Enjoy it!
