Chutney – green papaya chutney

500 g of green papaya,

1 dry chilli,

350 g of sugar,

1 – 2 jucy lemon,

little salt to taste.


First peel the papaya and remove all seeds. Then grate the papaya very thin and fry them on oil together with dry chilli until they are soft. Add one teaspoonful of salt. When they become softer add sugar. When it becomes thick, remove it from the stove and then add the lemon juice.
