Caprese salad is easy Italian recipe for a salad of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil.

Salad is very tasty and refreshing and excellent as an appetizer or addition to chapatis with cream or for some nice potato sabji on ekadasi days.



4 tomatoes,
Mozzarella (1-2 packages, depending on the size of packaging)
4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil,
Salt and pepper,
A bit of fresh basil.


Slice the tomatoes into thin slices, Mozzarella cheese drain and cut into thin slices and finely chop the basil.

On serving plate, arrange the tomatoes, on the tomato put Mozzarella cheese, season with salt and pepper and pour the olive oil over it. Garnish with basil. In the summer, serve salad with domestic cream and chapati. Enjoy! 🙂
