Salad of marinated tomatoes



a pinch of asafoetida,
1 tablespoon fresh basil,
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil,
900 g tomatoes, cut into slices,
1/2 tsp sea or Himalayan salt (or better, black salt – kala namak)
1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper,


Mix asafoetida, basil and olive oil.

Arrange tomatoes on a plate, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then pour the mixture of asafoetida, fresh basil and olive oil.

Marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to half an hour. Serve with rice or pasta.


To make this interesting salad looked more attractive, try to find the tomatoes of different colors – a little red, a little yellow, some green …
