Raw veggie pâté (suitable for ekadasi)

*for about 500 g


2 cups of walnuts,
2 stalks celery cut in little pieces,
1 red pepper,
1  pinch of asafoetida,
1 tablespoon of olive oil,
½ tablespoon sweet red pepper powder,
a little cayenne pepper to taste,
1/2 teaspoon of curry powder,
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric,
1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper,
1 teaspoon of Himalayan salt, or black salt (or just ordinary salt).



• mix all ingredients in food processor until the mixture is uniform and mixed well.

You can serve it with warm chapati or toast bread….with some salad. Enjoy it!


*If you want the pate to be suitable for ekadasi, remove curry, tirmeric, sweet red pepper powder, add grated asafoetida resin, and serve pate with baked  ekadasi  potato and some salad.
