Lavander lemonade recipe

When someone mentions lemonade, all immediately think of the ordinary lemonade – lemon, water and a sweetener. In this recipe we will give you a great creative way for a relaxing and healthy lemonade.

Lavender is coming from North Africa, and also grows in the Mediterranean. Lavender provides great benefits for the skin and is often added to perfumes and shampoos, gels, creams, lotions, soaps … The word lavender comes from the Latin word “lavare”, which means – monitors.

Lavender is increasingly cultivated for the production of essential oils. Lavender oil has a strong antiseptic and anti-inflammatory activity, and can be used in the treatment of minor burns, and insect bites.

Studies have shown that lavender essential oil is extremely effective in treating anxiety, insomnia, depression and restlessness.

Now that you know all this, you can enjoy your lavender lemonade, which in addition to being healthy – relaxes and soothes!

Lavender lemonade recipe:

ingredients:

juice of four lemons,
1 drop of lavender essential oil,
1 tablespoon of dried lavender flowers,
7 cups of hot water
¾ cup of honey.

Preparation:

Boil 4 cups of water. Remove from heat and stir in dried, chopped lavender flowers. Add honey when water become cool. Let stand covered for half an hour. Strain, good mash liquid from the flowers. Add the lemon juice, the remaining water and a drop of essential oil of lavender. Mix well.

You can drink it warm (at bedtime) or after…….cool – for daily relaxation.

You can also add a little carbonated mineral water instead of plain at the end if you want more refreshing and relaxing drink.
