One handful of walnuts (about 40 g) can help reduce cholesterol levels and help to better patency of arteries. Walnuts and almonds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, monounsaturated fats and fiber. Replace the consumption of unhealthy snacks with walnuts and similar nuts. Keep in mind their calorific value and do not consume more than a one handful a day (about 300 calories).
