The common name corn salad (Valerianella locusta) refers to the fact that it often grows as a weed in wheat fields.

500g corn salad,

100g feta cheese, cut into cubes,

salt to taste, (i use black salt – kala namak),

tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil,

pinch of dry parsley,

pinch of oregano.

Mix well all ingredients and serve with chapati and your favourite sabji…potato sabji;-)

It is very similar, in taste, to the arugula salad (rocket salad), and it is very healthy and refreshing in summer days. It is suitable for ekadasi days.
