The recipe for dietary tartar is intended for people who can not or do not desire to consume real tartar sauce. For the dietary version of tartar sauce, the ingredients are milder and less caloric.
150g Greek or the similar creamy yogurt (with less fat),
1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice,
1 tsp chives, chopped
1 teaspoon capers, chopped
Mix all the ingredients to form a smooth sauce.
Caloric tartar sauce
Tartar sauce for roasted soybeans, Indian pakora, baked potatoes with yogurt, chives, and capers instead of mayonnaise and pickles.
150 g of fatter yogurt,
1 tablespoon vinegar,
1 teaspoon chopped chives,
1 teaspoon chopped capers,
Salt and pepper,
a pinch of curry,
a pinch of turmeric.
Mix all ingredients, serve with roasted soybeans or Indian pakora.
