Alu dom – Simple potato ekadasi sabji

Ingredients :

1 kg of potatoes

2-3 bay leaves,

2 teaspoonful of turmeric (curcuma),

1 teaspoon of ginger paple,

2 teaspoonful oh cumin seeds

3-4 green chillis (chopped)

150 g of ghee or oil,

Method:

First boil the potatos till they are soft. Then peel them and cut into halves. Then put the cooking pot on the stove, pour oil or ghee and make it hot. After that add bay leaves, cumin seeds, ginger paste and green chillis. When the chunk is done, add the potatoes, salt, turmeric etc. Stirr oil for 2 min, then add 1/2 lit of water. When the gravy is little thick, it is ready to serve.

(suitable for ekadasi)
